Linux is the future!

It works better than Windows. It's as safe if not safer than OS X. It's free, unlike the other two.

Why haven't people gravitated over to Linux yet?

Simple, it's pretty hard to digest, especially when the majority of the world 'kinda sorta' knows how Windows works. Use humans tend to be set in our ways, but I'm working on breaking out of that. But there are more practical reasons as well, like the transition to not only learn a new OS, but new programs for that OS, not to mention the conversion factor of finding programs that work like the old ones. Some solutions are simpler than others. 'Openoffice' is a superb replacement and is compatible with Micro Office, and GIMP works just about like Photoshop. For myself, it's looking for music software comparable to Acid Pro and Sound Forge, which I think I might have found sometime tonight.

But alas, there are still a few things holding me back from complete conversion to Linux (currently messing with 'ubuntu' distribution). Lack of knowledge and drivers. I'm sure the drivers will present themselves eventually, but the lack of knowledge part will take some time. I think I can have it licked within a year, year 1/2 tops. But for right now I can comfortably admit that I'm overwhelmed.

I still think this OS is the future though, especially if Microsoft's next OS is as stupid and cumbersome as Vista (Oh yeah, Linux doesn't require halve the resources that Vista does). Couple that with it's safety features and price tag (shave off $250 bucks off any pc with Linux), Microsoft will be brought back closer to earth.

Or at least that's what I'm hoping. Gotta root for the underdog. Or at least hope to see something astounding in the timeline of computer technology.

Second Post

It took me in access of 2 years to make my second post. My timing really sucks.

I've gotta find out what to do with this space on the internet. I have been away from writing for far too long. Perhaps it's time for a return. In the mix of making music, being married, and a military training instructor, I haven't had time to do a whole lot of things. But as of lately, I've been trying to work things out. I've fallen into a constant routine of working on music on the weekend and a couple of days during the week. Along with that, quality time with the misses, taking care of business better at work, and BAMMM!!!!

I'm sorry that I just typed BAMMM!!!!! Moving on.....

So here I am, getting ready to figure out how to work this blog thingy. With that in mind, I've gotta get rid of one (or more) of my various online accounts. I can tell you guys right now that Soundclick is history.

I've had that one for a while too, just when I started to make music and what not. But I think it's more than served it's purpose. So, thanks to those who have listened, posted, and downloaded music from that place for the past 4-5 years. I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

Now if anyone can help me promote the sound better, let MEEEEE know......

Love Infinite..........
